Our Build Process
Initial Interview
Michael or Christopher personally meet with our customers to get an in-depth assessment of the project and our customers needs.
Design Phase
The base requirements for the job are assessed and put into our build plan. This includes accounting for all permitting needs, any professional engineering needed, all in-house work, sub-contractors, and potential problem areas.
Estimate Phase
Once we (and YOU!) are satisfied that we have all the factors of the build accounted for, we start getting real world pricing for you. We don’t price by the square foot; this is needlessly expensive for some jobs and badly undervaluing for others. We pull materials costs per job and call our contractors on every project, to ensure that we are providing the most accurate estimates possible to our customers.
Acceptance Phase
When you accept our estimate for the job and put down a deposit, we immediately put you into our schedule, with wait times generally less than two weeks. This allows us to maintain a consistent timeline; you’re never waiting on a “ghost schedule” that may or may not be realistic.
Build Phase
Once we start, GBC has someone on the job from start to finish; 90% of the work is done in-house, with your concerns and questions addressed on the spot. You also never have to worry about sub-contractors. We only use subs when absolutely necessary and then only the ones we trust and work with regularly.

Completion
We rarely need to do detailed walk-throughs; our process is an open book to our customers and they generally follow it personally, with all questions answered in real-time while the build is on-going. This means the final walk-through looks more like a show-off opportunity than the problem-hunting expedition most builders end a project with.
Even if you aren’t on-site for the whole build, we keep you updated daily with project photos and checks, for our peace of mind as much as yours. Once a GBC project is completed, everyone walks away pleased with the final product, because our clients are boots-on-the-ground through the entire build. It’s how we do business.
